I intend to modify an existing nightstand to include a locked firearm compartment. The compartment / nightstand will open on human touch or radio input from an home alarm system sensor only when the presence of the owner is detected in the area. The idea is to predict need rather than respond to it for defense situations. It is also aimed at reducing inappropriate access to defense tools by unauthorized operators such as children or friends.
