After about an hour and a half of soldering in some very uncomfortable places, it's done. It's tested, it works:

I need to find a paint pen to write 'send' and 'return' on the back, but this thing is buttoned up and velcro is on the bottom. Success.

Edit: I got a paint pen:

@Benchoff - side note, i have terrible hand writing, and in an effort to look more professional, for this kind of thing i've taken to ponoko.com for some laser etched items. you could have easily added a thin sheet of acryllic etched with the labels for a more professional look... please note: not a complaint, just a future recommendation! awesome work!

Yeah, if I were doing this as a 'professional' thing, I'd look into waterslide decals, silk screen, and stuff like that.

This is just a tool for me, though. I needed something to switch stuff in and out of an audio circuit. The labeling is just enough for me to remember how it's wired, done with a $3 paint pen in 10 minutes. Good enough for me.

hehe, yea, i am not above using paint pens! i have to say i really admire the fact you used the wire you did. A) it's something you made for yourself, and B) when the lid is close it's not visable, yet... using that style of wire, is just the entire "hacker" spirit in one simple statement: maybe no one will ever see this, but just in case someone does... i want it to be awesome!
