Anglerfish
04/09/2018 at 20:01 • 0 commentsSame construction techniques as the glow-bugs prior. The long protrusion took a couple tries to fabricate, so it's right on the edge of doable. Thanks to Oshpark for working with me on a weird object!

Glowbugs!
12/26/2017 at 21:33 • 5 commentsThese are through panel mounted LEDs that have been mounted upside-down and raised up off the board with a space made by clipping 100mil header pins. I'll take some better photos when I remember to bring my lighting rig to work...

More upsidedown LEDs
12/13/2017 at 18:40 • 2 commentsThis was the most successful footprint that I tried. It has solder mask relief on the component side and the reverse, with the LED mounted upside down. Forgive me the Crusty soldering job. The LEDs have a substantial gap in this configuration that may necessitate some form of non-melting filler or clip to span the gap without the enormous solder globs.

GlowBugs?
11/30/2017 at 19:31 • 0 commentsI added a small layer of nail polish to make the LED less blinding to highlight diffuse light. I think that the same effect would be both easier and better if I just mount the LED upside down pressed in contact with the board.

Business Chit
11/21/2017 at 16:21 • 2 commentsPrototype of my "business chit". I wanted to make a business card-type thing that was fun and memorable. I mocked up a quick logo design. I like the overall shape and the gold contrast. I have concerns that these are too small to be easily kept in a pocket, and hard to read for those without good vision. The logo may be to obtuse for non-technical audiences, and may also get rework. Or I'll just give up and put these in the bin. Who's to say?

Taking Bets!
11/17/2017 at 20:56 • 2 commentsStupid idea: shove a bottom mount led in sideways. who wants to take bets on whether this will work in OSHpark's smallest drill size swiss cheese!

First Buttons are in
11/14/2017 at 14:30 • 0 commentsThese are .26" circles. They are rather small to be used for buttons on a button down shirt, but could be for shirt collars or other very small buttons.

Smallest PCB OSHPark will make
11/11/2017 at 20:12 • 0 commentsButtons. Just clothing buttons. I made two different designs, the first of which should arrive back from fab in a few days.
