Testing out an idea that while printing, the nozzle can be pressed in to the job at various points to fuse together or &quot;spot weld&quot; the layers and increase overall part strength.<br><br>Result: About 20% improved strength<br><br>Print Spreed: 60mm/s<br>Layer height: 0.3mm<br>Part height: 100mm<br>Part width: 15mm<br><br>4 spot welds, one in each corner.<br>The nozzle pressed in by 0.3mm for 0.2 seconds.<br><br>See it in action over at youtube <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://youtu.be/Om2sPvlqiZs">https://youtu.be/Om2sPvlqiZs</a><br><br>You can find the script/code over at my github <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://github.com/boy1dr/fdm_spot_welded_layers">https://github.com/boy1dr/fdm_spot_welded_layers</a><br>Feel free to mess around with it, perhaps one day this will show up in a slicer :)
