SociACL has been in our hardware/software stack plans for years now. We hope to start releasing usable code and a working web API shortly. It will be a critical part of our access control available in our mobile phone SDK for the Flex Modules.

Through SociACL and our Social Light we see the possibility to bring the multiple facets of internet personas in to the real world to meet new people. You can advertise your temporary unique ID through Social Light and depending on who views it present information about yourself, your company, or anything you like. The viewer could see business information if a potential client, see that you are looking for JavaScript help if a web developer, or that you are available if the viewer meets your romantic interests.

SociACL will be useful for website resources and a wide variety of device access controls.

Any software related will be released under BSD or MIT license. SAAS or cloud based software will be AGPL.
