They say that bigger is better, so stay tuned for a laser shoot-out between a home-made dual-axis mirror steering assembly and a tiny Texas Instruments TALP1000B. Which one will emerge victorious?
This project is a follow up to my Instructable, Super Fast Analog Voltages from an Arduino, where I show how to generate super fast vector graphics on an oscilloscope. Now I hope to take it to the next level and make a laser show without using expensive galvos. Recently I was able to purchase some MEMS dual-axis mirrors at surplus, so I intend to compare the performance between my home made module and the Texas Instruments tiny modules.
This is the first test of the home-built dual-axis mirror assembly.
