The board is stackable on an Arduino Uno, a kind of an intermediate step towards a shield. It couples a ESP-01 for Internet connectivity, and an amplified Electret for sound monitoring. It is made for monitoring environmental sounds, and the examples show how to use it to perform Fourier analysis of the input. The atlib library is used with the ESP-01. See the links for more information about the hardware and the atlib library.
