After some back and forths with designing the case, I realized that it would be much easier to produce the device if I re-engineered some of the sticking points around the previous design. So I cleaned up the entire back of the circuit board so that it can sit flush up against the housing. I also added a trackball for faster and more accurate navigation.

Very neat PCB design.

Perhaps I overlooked something, but I can't find the part number of trackball you used. It's really tiny.

Thanks! I prototyped using this https://www.sparkfun.com/products/9308 and bought a bag of like twenty of them on ebay for ten bucks or something

broken_display == blown_lipo :) I don't see any other chance for it to be powered.

yup, the proper case will have recesses to hold and secure the lipo and screen. it will all be on the inside of a sealed transparent case, so youd have to hammer pretty hard to break it :

sometimes LiPos just bloat, so when this bloats, it might crack the display. Al least that was my thought behind that sentence. Cool project though :)

TagConnect! How do you like it? I haven't yet taken the plunge, but it seems like a great solution for Atmel ISP and others.

It's not bad for when you really need it, but I wouldnt replace a good ol' 3x2 shrouded header if I have the board real estate.

Though if you're doing volume production, it does make a convenient pogopin test point array
