davedarkoSo 5V from one source seem to work just fine - a pcb might help correct loose wires an hot-glue mess ;)

I had him running round a bit with the OSHPark L293D board, but the app I used to control it over bluetooth was sending some weird stuff so it was unrecognizable and the front roll got stuck and was actually more breaking than rolling. So I ordered the metal ball thingy which can be seen in the picture and installed it the day before yesterday. I controlled it via bluetooth serial terminal, just sending 't', 'r' and 'l' as characters.
