Analog meter clock with capacitive touch controls.

Just recently completed this meter clock. The meters are housed in a reclaimed post that I wrapped with steel straps and bolted to it. The time can be adjusted by touching the bolts on the front of the post. The top two bolts are for hour + and hour -, the bottom bolts are minute + and -. There is also a bent over nail in the top of the post. This nail turns on the lights and increments them through several levels of brightness before turning them off again.

Great idea using capacitive buttons with the bolts. Really love the look and feel of this. Looks like I've got another clock design floating around my head. :-D

What type of meters did this use? Did you have step up voltages or find a low-voltage meter and use PWM or something to control the output?

Thanks! They are 50 micro ammeters. Driven with PWM straight from a Trinket.  All purchased from Adafruit.  I just change the faces on the meters :)
