This is my solar battery monitoring system based on Raspberry PI. It monitors six solar panels connected to battery charging controller. Communication with battery controller is made through Raspberry PI serial port at 2400 baud.
Solar panel paramets and utility voltage parameters are accessible via web interface.

Raspberry PI software is written in python using DeviceHive library for network communitcation.

Monitoring application is written using AngularJS+Devicehive and hosted on github pages

  • 1 × Raspberry PI model B
  • 1 × Interface board for rasbperry Level shifting board, to connect solar inverter to raspberry pi GPIO ports

  • Rotary system

    Made rotary system prototype for PV cells, now working from buttons, later will tie to PI

    Now battery moving too fast, need to change gear ratio
