I have 3D printed a prototype of the containment part of the KeyChain, it works well, however, I would like to make it a little smaller. I am currently trying to find a way to condense the insides of the Epipen. Looking at parts that aren't as important and could be condensed.
Today I went and talked with people who have food allergies and I asked them if what they think about the Epipen. They thought that the Epipen performed its job well, however, they explained to me how it was a little big and that it was hard to cary around. I told them about my Epipen keychain and how it will make carrying around the Epipen a lot easier. They told me that it was a great idea and they gave me a few suggestions that they thought would make the product better. In addition to talking with potential customers, I read a few articles on the Epipen and some of the major problems with it. The leading problem being that it is too expensive, which makes it so many people can't afford it. I have been thinking of some ways that I will be able to cut some cost on the Epipen keychain so it is more affordable.
