My Hyundai Accent CAN hit 88MPH. Fortunately, it will be equipped with a digital Flux Capacitor and Mr. Fusion Home Energy Machine on the back like the Delorean in Back to the Future 2. I am using LEDs, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, dry ice, water pumps, and an assortment of other electronics to build this dream of mine.
Mr. Coffee Tea Brewer
Used to make the Mr. Fusion Home Energy Machine.
The Mr. Fusion logo and a range of other Mr. Fusion machine stickers.
We've been doing a lot of work on my house over the past few weeks. It feels good to get back into the Mr. Fusion project. I've been trying to figure out how to add LEDs or EL to the project. We are going to make a series of LEDs which run in various patterns throughout the Mr. Fusion machine. I am going to spray paint the middle section of the machine bright, high-gloss white. I'll use tag reinforcers (circular stickers) to leave translucent openings for the blue LEDs' light to show through the plastic. We will also use a blue LED to light the "Connect to Flux Capacitor" sticker on the back. Now, to set up an Arduino Sketch and rig up the light circuitry.
The Mr. Fusion Home Energy Machine is almost as important as the Flux Capacitor in this project. I can afford to do only one at a time though. Since I've already created the Flux Capacitor in Scratch, the Mr. Fusion is getting the physical build. You can see the Mr. Coffee tea brewer I used as my Mr. Fusion in the image with the color concept drawing of the finished product. Another image was created in SketchUp to get a more clear image of the final.
I sanded "Mr. Coffee" off the white part and sprayed the white top area and blue lid with metallic Rustoleum. I'm going to sand it with 180 grit or so sandpaper to make it look like brushed stainless steel (which is what the Delorean is made of). Pictures are on the way.
