Babbage's Baggage

A mashup of two toys to make this Terry Pratchett inspired project

Similar projects worth following
What would happen if Rincewind travelled through a magic portal to England and taught Babbage how to make his own version of The Luggage using sapient pear wood?

A remote controlled scolopendra gigantea was stripped down and the mechanics fitted into a pirate treasure chest. A Meccano wheel was added as a skid and some Sugru holds the whole thing together.
  • 1 × RC scolopendra gigantea
  • 1 × Small treasure chest
  • 1 × Metal bracket for wheel
  • 1 × Mecanno wheel from a 1980s space buggy
  • 1 × Sugru

Cheers RoGeorge, I did avoid that as I knew the Hackday crowd would give me grief for a vertical video :)

I like this idea! How big this luggage would be? And what about internals? Original one can show you any goods you want to have or be the trap.. Maybe to create some double bottom mechanism? To switch internals.. Do not forget to hydraulic driver for the cover - it should have enough power to eat somebody..

It is absolutely tiny, but all the electronics fit into the lid. So there's enough space for some components or a Punsch-roll cake
