Waiting + Call for advice

So I have my lenses shipping from China, but I am struggling to find a non contact thermometer that can go to 2-3000'C. Anyone know of something that will be suitable under £30?

The first stage will be a scale model, melting something at lower temps. Will update when i have something to show.

EDIT. Lens arrived from the UK, and i have set up #Measuring Extreme Temperatures to estimate the tempratures reached.

All the non-contact thermometers I have found that are <$50 are <1000'F (538'C) at the top range. I was only looking for 2000'F (1093'C), so I'm very interested to see what you find. I will keep an eye out :)

They did have a few more on the site, including a 1000c non contact. Worth a look for you anyway. I may go with sample materials and estimate it.

Any idea what a good cheap surface to put samples on, that will not act as a heat sink. Also if I set up a project for high temperature measuring, would you like to colaberate. Just got a lenses today. Apparently, 3x Fresnel lense on Amazon means 1 lenses with 3x magnification :) I set paper and wood on fire quickly (<2seconds), so above 210ºC.
