I have just setup my Raspberry Pi 2 to run everything I need for my home automation project. I have set it up running:

The Pi is connected to:

The Pi is running well and consuming much less power than the computer it has replaced with the added benefit of battery backup. Kodi is running on the HDMI output of the Pi and I access it through SSH.

Thanks. I'll come now and then here to check for any updates. Nice projects, by the way. But do not feel obligated to install openHAB if you do not desire it anymore. Cheers!

EDIT: I actually got it working. It needed extra java arguments; JAVA ARGS "-Djava.security.egd=/dev/random".

I currently just have Xbian and open remote on my pi before I had to pack it away to move house. I will have a go at installing openHAB when I have moved and post my results and guide if I get it to work.

Hi,

I am having same kind of project as you do. Xbian + tvheadend + openhab (wifi-lights). Did you get openhab-runtime work with xbian?

I am having troubles starting it. It seems that the problem lies within eclipse. I have tried googling for two days already. Maybe you could help? How did you install it? Did you compile it or just downloaded the zips?
