The process couldn't be any simpler, and holds up well to mechanical stress if there is sufficient surface area on the mating surfaces.

Apply the propane torch to the surface to be mated. Heat- resistant surfaces such as ceramic or steel should work. Get the joint hot, then press-fit the new foot/rim/repair to the work. The latent heat in the object melts the 3d print to conform to the repair surface.

Even without much mating surface , the bond can handle quite a bit before breaking -- certainly enough to make a functional, aesthetic repair. 

This can also be used for sculpture/fun :)
