So I recently got into the world of vinyls and have been buying quite a few and they sound so good. I am definitely hooked in them. However I had a few things that niggled me. Id stick a record on, get on doing something whilst it played and then realise a few mins later it had finished. With albums that are on 2 vinyls you often only get 3 or 4 tracks per side. This means you often find your self swapping sides and then changing the disc. That's the main benefit of a CD is that it plays the whole album non stop. I also missed the shuffle feature of my iPod. So i thought what if I could create a device that automatically turned the vinyl and stuck the second one on once the first finished. If it could also have a shuffle like function then that would be perfect.

So I've just created this project and it's in its infancy at the moment. Just an idea really, but an idea I've thought about alot so I have a pretty good idea on how to go about it all. First step I think is get some drawings done so I can see what it's gonna look like and work out placement of things. Then order some components so I can get my first prototype done. I'll work on test code in the mean time as well. I'll get some pictures up here ASAP so you can visualise what I'm upto more.
