ESPLamp

A Web (OpenHAB) enabled RGB-LED Desktop Lamp

Similar projects worth following
The ESPLamp is a Web (OpenHAB) enabled RGB-LED Desktop Lamp. It will be powered by at least 3* 24Watts of LED. It consists of a ESP8266 Client with the NodeMCU Firmware and an OpenHAB Server for Management.

My aim is to build an RGB Desktop Lamp. It will be powered by an ESP8266 and a openHAB Server. It will also double as an Input Device for the openHab Server, allowing it to change the light directly on the device without the need for an Smartphone / Computer.

The actual switching will be done by CSD18504KCS. Also I´m working on implementing an Relay for the actual LED Power Supply for conserving power.

  • 1 × ESP8266
  • 1 × OpenHAB Server
  • 3 × CSD18504KCS Discrete Semiconductors / Power Transistors and MOSFETs
  • 1 × 12V PSU

So, I added a Lua Files, which allows you to control a single WS2812 Led from the openHab Server. This might be useful if you have a ESP-01 Model, and a WS2811 Driver IC laying around and want to use your analog RGB Strip as an IoT Device.

Demo and Schematics will follow, but it is quiet simple, you should figure it out.

    Quick initial Log:

The OpenHAB Binding should already work, also updating in both ways, also the updating of the RGB Chooser in the various OpenHab interfaces works.

The ESP can already receive commands, but due to the lag of multipin ESPs I can only test it with one or two leds.. ESP-12 have already left the airport in china, now I only have to pray to the custom god of germany..
