As there have been multiple instances of theft inside the building that houses my studio in the past year, I couldn't risk it any longer having to leave my computer there alone for a week or sometimes even longer.
Even though I have prototyping hardware like an Atmel JTAGICE MK.II which currently costs between $550 to $650 depending on the distributor, I don't think a burglar would take it as most of it doesn't look so expensive nor useful to people who aren't into electronic engineering. The only thing they could take are my computer screens, the drinks I left in my fridge and my wardrobe.


This is something I've designed in a single afternoon which I then lasercut that same evening.
It's not all too compact but the point was that it would fit in my suitcase (which it does!).
It's possible to make it even more compact by using closed-loop watercooling products. However, since I was leaving Brussels the day after I couldn't wait for the watercooling parts to arrive.
