There have been some discussion over batteries and charging down in the comments. I'll publish images of inside of battery.

The tabs are solders After case is screwed together. So to split it you need to cut the connecting tabs on one side...

Cells are Sony 18650 1900mAh. Thanks to Jan B!

Could someone measure the output from the charger, mine is charged from my solar setup so the base station is connected through a dc-dc convert and with the voltage set to 28.7v it only ever reaches 685 charge.  I found a german forum and think he said he had to output 31.5v and it would then charge to %100 but worried about damaging the mower and long term affect.  I bought mine second hand so no charger so would be great if someone could measure the output.

My 796E.1 got the battery upgrade this month. Installed fresh 18650B Panasonic 3.2Ah cells. Works beautifully. Charge time 1.5h, mowing time 130 minutes+.
