My electric longboard. I am going to update this a lot with pictures and descriptions.

So far, I have decided on almost everything that I want so far. I am going to use 2 MAX8 Hobbywing ESCs for the speed controllers, 2 5065 270kv brushless outrunner motor for the motors, 12 ANR26650 LiFePo4 Batteries, and an Arduino Pro Mini knockoff for the main control board of the longboard. For the remote, there is yet another Arduino Pro Mini, powered by a LiPo 750mAh 3.7v battery. To save power, the regulator on the board will be disabled because the chip can accept voltages from 2.7v-6.3v. There will be a LiPo charger onboard so it is not necessary to open the shell and remove the battery. The controller shell will look like this:

Yeah, that looks cool! I think I looked into it before. If I ever decide to commercialize my longboard, I think that I'll base it off that (after all, it is open source.)

I am planning to use Bluetooth with the HC-05 modules you can get off eBay for ~$2 a piece, but another cheap and highly feasible option are those tiny NRF modules.

hello,

Im planning on building an electric longboard aswell. How do you plan on making the connection between the remote and the board? Bleutooth, wifi, wire? this is were im stuck since i dont know that much about it.
