“Others have seen what is and asked why. I have seen what could be and asked why not. ”
― Pablo Picasso, Pablo Picasso: Metamorphoses of the Human Form : Graphic Works, 1895-1972

That's probably a little dramatic, but it is a good quote. This project is not really technically founded, but more of a social project. From what I have seen hackaday.io has attracted users from all over the globe, there have been no political, economic, race, religious, or gender boundaries that I have seen. There is participation from a wide range of age groups and skill levels. From those discovering a soldering iron for the first time, to those working out Ph.D. thesis'. There are a number of creative one-off solutions, and there a few projects in active production. Interactions on the #Hacker Channel have been great, people are responsive, quick to help, and encouraging without regard to skill level.

Every project on here is a learning experience at one level or another, and I feel that the efforts made should be met with positive feedback.

I have found this little button, which to me seems to be nothing more than the equivalent to the ubiquitous 'Thumbs Up' or '+1', and I have used it a number of times with no ill-effects, however it seems that is not the case for everyone. Going through the projects I get the impression that skulling something can be compared to letting gold out of the coffers, however, I have a number of unused skulls in my coffer, and they don't seem to be collecting any interest... So I am going to pass them out

Ad nauseam

and hope that this inspires others to support the efforts of those that dare to break shit and make something new. If it doesn't ... all well, it was fun for me anyway.
