I've bought a brushless motor

now what? I need to do some experiments, find out what speeds I need, what kind of gearboxes make sense etc to get the most our of the motor. There are chips like LM74670 that together with a MOSFET can replace diodes for creating a rectifier. First thing that needs to be done is a small gearbox and crank.

The LT4320 (I'd need three of them) is around 6 Euros each. Ouch.

Any progress on the ideal rectifier search?  It turns out that I have a similar problem with #Plumbing Power

It seems like you should be able to build one with discrete MOSFETs, maybe using the body diode to bootstrap the control circuit.  It also seems like a lot of work for something that should already be cheaply available.

I was a bit surprised too, that should already be a thing. But there are those fancy chips. I'm still working on the #FAME BOY - deadline is until the day after tomorrow. After that it'll be hackaday again.
