Doing feasibility study. Looking at Electric Imp modules, but open to anything. Data plotting will be key. I also like the idea of adding in statistical control limits which will flag shifts and aberrations of signal performance. Likely there is already something commercially available, but doing my homework to see if a DIY solution is more feasible and cost effective. There is an excellent chance that someone else is already doing this project, in which I will just jump on board with their development.

I have some experience with Brookside data monitoring, and know that it can be enhanced with National Instruments hardware extensions, but I am looking for a low cost solution. Also Agilent makes several wired dataloggers, but I am looking for wireless.

Wireless range does not have to exceed 30 feet. More is better, but keeping Radio Frequency Interference to a minimum is paramount.
