In this experiment, I'm building a 10-foot long, 3 inch diameter propane burner. At one end, I'm adding a rubber diaphragm and a small speaker. Into the speaker will go pure tones, music, voice, and whatever other sounds we find. The sound inside the tube will cause high and low pressure areas, forcing the gas to flow at different rates at different positions in the tube. This will result in visible "waves" in the flames across the length of the tube. I'm just getting started. Stay tuned. I'll have art in the next day or so.
