windows programming speech synthesis C# OS X objective-c Shit Talker

This project was created on 01/15/2016 and last updated 6 years ago.

Description

Shit Talker was a VB application I adored back in the days of Windows 98. It was a hilarious mess of buttons that'd invoke a speech synth engine to blather. The intent of the day was for prank phone calls.

As an expanded hello-world exercise, I opted to re-write Shit Talker since the original didn't really run on newer versions of Windows and I switched to Unixes about 20mins after Win ME was spawned.

Hence, there's an OS X and a Windows build of Shit Talker Phoenx (STP) available. I don't maintain them, not really. But I know some folks in to DJing use it, or at least, did. I eventually dumped the SRC on github (links below).

I've created a somewhat improved version of STP and rebranded as TrashTalker. It's currently available for macOS through the Apple App Store: https://itunes.apple.com/ca/app/trash-talker/id1207969253?mt=12

Also, the "STP Home" link on this page goes to a 404.

I bought this so I could use it like the old Sh*t Talker I had on Windows XP. I cannot change the voices (I had a custom one I made years ago). When I click on the "gear" icon, nothing happens. When I tried another way that appeared to possibly take me to a custom page, I got a 404 error. I feel like I wasted money on this. :(
