A university project that eventually became a product for horses. It was a simply bluetooth based sensor system that i built and sold to a company that manufactures horse blankets.
Using open cv and a lot of python I was able to isolate the head movement of a subject and detect his/her heartrate using a lucas kanade tracker and a lot of signal processing
Using two sdrs connected to two raspberry pis, It was possible to build a benchtop simulation of two way video communication between a satellite and base station. The signal used was DVB-S and the video was encoded and decoded using GNU Radio.
