Spinning Bottle
04/10/2021 at 11:05 • 0 commentsThis web page is about my spinning bottle project.
You can see that my object is made with a bottle attached to a ruler with raffia pollot and a pencil on the other end of the ruler. Both holes (on each end of the ruler) were drilled. Thus you might need an electric drill for this project.
You can watch the video of the spinning bottle:
Step 1: Attach the Bottle to Ruler
When you look at the photo you might not notice the hole on the end of the ruler:
However, this hole is definitely there and you might spot it if you look closely:
Step 2: Drill Second Hole for Pencil
The second hole was also drilled with an electric drill:
Step 3: Testing
Testing with water:

Conclusion
I guess I should have tried a bottle with a bigger opening (one that used a thicker lid with a longer radius) to increase the loudness of the spinning bottle sound affect.
Watch my bottle hitting my mobile phone in this video:

Paper Airplane
12/20/2020 at 05:24 • 0 commentsThis publication is about the paper airplane that I designed 25 years ago when I was a teenager:
You can see the video of my plane flying:
Here is another photo of my plane at different viewing angle:
I used a paper from my intervention order against an individual who's name I cannot reveal in this article. This order issued by Victoria Police a few days ago.
Step 1: Front Folding 45 Degrees
This is a typical 45 degree folding when making a plane.
Step 2: Front Folding 30 Degrees
Then I fold again at 30 degrees from the plane body (centre):
Step 3: Fold The Wings
I folded the wings in improve the plane air lifting that will create a small air pressure underneath the wings that will hold the plane longer in the air:
If you look closely then you might see that, not only the back, but the front of the wings is also bent in such a way that the plane can gain altitude when flying forward.
Step 4: Fold The Plane Nose
I folded the plane nose a few times to increase the weight/mass of the nose.
The step has significantly increase the flying distance.
Step 5: Testing
Testing shows that the plane can fly for 3 metres:
