This model is the second one that I have designed next to the SF-40L, after all the experiences gained with the precedent project the development of this new model was extremely more easy.
For the Fio, the name of the model, I kept the same wing plant of the old model adding a new V tail and converting the landing gear from a tricycle to a bicycle configuration, the wing position and dihedral were change and also the fuselage was completely redesigned in order to improve all the flight qualities, of which the SF-40L model was lack.
Differently from the SF-40L where each piece (wood, plastic or metal piece) was made by hand with a huge physical effort, the Fio was design to be commercialized as a "ready for assembly" kit
so all the pieces of the wing and the fuselage are laser cut piece, this has also improved the model building quality.
At the current stage, I have all the components ready for the assembly.
