Imagine a plane. Now imagine a quadcopter. Now imagine squashing the two together and creating an unholy beast that can fly both like a plane and like a quad. Now toss some image processing to the mix for extra awesome, and you have the making of a multimillion dollar start-up. I can dream right?
Today was a bit of a binge day on the whole CAD thing. Autodesk Inventor is currently using about 5 of my 8gb of ram right now, and I say that proudly. The whole system works out to about 11 parts to be 3D printed, with the fuselage and wings being modular. A simple tube wing method is what i'm going after with 1" square mounts on the ends of the wings for a wooden dowel which is what i'm mounting the quadcopter on.
