Week 1: 2/2/2015 - 9pm PDT 2/10/2015

Yes, you get an extra day this week.

Link to the original CERN link: https://cds.cern.ch/record/1761017

What the heck is going on in this image? We've got a man operating robot arms, cameras, old school oscilloscopes, and lots of equipment in the background.

Add your humorous caption as a comment to this project log. Make sure you're commenting on this project log, not on the project itself.

As always, if you actually have information about the image or the people in it, let CERN know on the original image discussion page.

Good Luck!

Drastic funding cuts had Steve Stevenson to improve his soldering station with recycled robot arms to compensate for the lack of a fume extractor.

Remote controlling of a multimeter and an oscilloscope connected to dangerous equipment, by the means of a pair of robotic arms. Looks like mid 70s.

(The scope is dated 1969)

That's an old alien testing facility. Not the human, but the robot is operating the equipment. During the 1970s, aliens switched to using robots instead of abductions to arouse less suspicion.
