High altitude balloon launch 2015
Led a student project at my school to launch a sensor-laden balloon to the stratosphere. Launch and recovery were successful!
Raspberry Pi pressure logger for science fair
Project for my son's science fair entry. I provided the hardware and back end sensor setup for my son to write a Python script that displayed and logged atmospheric pressure data during a drive around Minneapolis.
Raspberry Pi weather station
Backyard weather station reads sensors, logs data, and uploads to wunderground via wifi. Python script runs at Pi startup.
Omni-directional laser tag bots
Custom motor controller based on the ATMEGA328P. Omni-directional wheels allow translational motion in any direction, as well as rotation. Hit the other robot's target with a laser arm to disable it.
Buck converter for USB charging
Converts +8 - 12V to +5V @ 1A for charging USB devices. Uses the TI Easy Switcher LM2675-ADJ. Runs off of 8 AA batteries, paralleled with 8 more for higher output current. USB resisters allow for charging Apple devices @ 1A.
