I've been gradually putting together a small hobby and craft shop.
So far I've added
- Shapeoko 2 with the quiet spindle
- printrbot simple metal
- K40 laser (currently in pieces)
- Taig cnc mill (also in pieces)
- MicroMark 7x16 lathe
- Klic'n'Cut Zinger (2d paper cutter for crafts)
- Kiln (for metal clay)
- Plus all the standards (Dremel, drill press, etc).
Projects
- Learning to make circuit boards on the Shapeoko
- Toys for the grand kids
- Polymer clay (easy, low cost, fun)
Platforms
- Windows 8.1 (general purpose, vm's)
- Windows 7 (for the printrbot and shapeoko)
- Windows XP (for the laser cutter)
- Beagle Bone Black (trying to figure how to get the PRU to work).
- Raspberry Pi (too many usb wires)
- Arduino (lots, many different versions)
- Papillio (gotta keep those verilog skills, such as they are, up to date).
Needed
- Time
- More room to put the toys (I mean tools)
- cyclone dust collector
- enclosures
Blessings
- An understanding and patient wife
