I made this project after reading those articles:

I connected two light bulbs in series to 3 V power supply (two AA battery harness). Then I connected a button across the second light bulb.

You can see how my circuit works in this video:

I suggest that you do not connect another switch or button across the second light bulb. You might short the power supply.
