The project consists of a raspberry pi, camera and sensors ( motion, door, gas, daylight, panic button). The pi is connected to the internet and is constantly listening to the sensor readings. This is placed at home to monitor in the absence of the home owner. Any change in the sensors will trigger the alarm and send a notification to the user through MQTT to the easy to use mobile application. The project can also send, images, sound, and videos to the user. The setup is still in development mode with more functions to be added like, MQTT chat, different house monitoring and assistive technologies.
