RasDash

A Raspberry Pi dashboard built on NodeJS.

Similar projects worth following
RasDash is a dashboard running on NodeJS using Express.

This is my first "dabble" with NodeJS and collaborating with random people on GitHub. In a way, this is my first step into the open-source realm. RasDash is a combined application and API that runs on NodeJS via ExpressJS. It hosts a webpage that, using JavaScript, pulls system information periodically from the included API. And, after a good amount of work, RasDash 0.3.0 is finally avaliable! Download it from here.

When I was writing RasDash I made sure to make it expandable by making a split up launch process similar to the diagram above.

Cool wallpaper with the icon, if you want it.

  • Branding!

After getting some publicity, I thought it was time to brand RasDash as it's own thing finally. So, here's the new logo:

I made this wallpaper (and the logo) completely in Paint.NET using a couple icons. I hope you all like it and it's now part of the UI as of the 0.3.4 release.

An article recently published on MOONGIFT, a Japanese developer site, has showcased RasDash! The article is entirely in Japanese and Google Translate won't accept the URL as it has special characters but YANDEX does. Below are some links and a basic translated gist of what the article says.

    Summary (May be slightly broken):

Raspberry Pi have only one at home that many people it is. But this is not found left by others. First to view the status dashboard and use it to make.

Its base as it is RasDash it. The Web browser can be accessed from the Raspberry Pi dashboard.

Web browser access from your tablet display to use would be a good place to begin.

UPDATE: I forced Google Translate to work.

  • Released 0.3.1

    Benjamin Sykes04/07/2019 at 22:39 0 comments

Had to fix a minor (but pretty annoying) bug where RasDash would use a lot of CPU while being viewed in a browser due to requests not being qeued properly. If you have RasDash installed, please download the new release (0.3.1) and replace the applications files. Also, the port was changed from 80 to 5808 so it won't clash with existing web servers.
