This project was created on 03/29/2019 and last updated 3 years ago.

Description

We build this variation of the popular word clock where letters are projected from the back onto a screen. In addition, each letter is connected to a linear actuator that can be moved back and forth by a servo so that the projection changes size onto the screen.

Amazing build video and even better end result. That took a lot of work and watching it display the time is phenomenal.

Like I mentioned on your Youtube video, wow, your ingenuity and patience are inspiring. Your build video is mesmerizing. In fact, I like the video so much, I've set it to half-speed with volume off and just let it loop on my tv as background art. Very satisfying to watch.

I had the same problem. You can try clicking on the video title. This will take you directly to youtube, where the video might not be blocked.

Indeed! Play button still says no, while youtube says yes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f-2w-D18m9c Thanks! The video alone is a masterpiece. And then there is The Clock! Glad i could see that.

Let me add another "wow"! Awesome work. I first thought the illuminated backgroundtext was printed but damn, it's done by the more distant LED-bricks...

Amazing outcome!!!

I am dumbfounded by how this clock of yours can be  so simple and so complex at the same time. And how beautiful it is!!!

You already got two wows, but let me add one of my own. Wow!

Love it! Only so many ways to make a word clock, and this one is really inspiring. I wrote it up for the blog, so watch out for it over the next few days. Great job!
