The lion kingdom was intrigued by another self balancer.  This one had articulated legs that could change height, move forward & backward, in addition to the hub motors.  4 of its 6 direct drive motors were devoted just to articulating the legs.  Maybe the idea was to use the articulated legs to jump up curbs.  It's a lot of mass to do just 1 thing.  Curb hoppers have been made out of 6 wheels with just the center wheels articulated by servos.
