Image segmentation is clustering parts of an image together that belong together.  It is a game changer on projects like Sun Chaser. The below image is a test of Sun Chaser's segmentation. Below are two images from Sun Chaser 2’s camera. The green areas are areas where Sun Chaser thinks it can travel. The dark green areas are the shaded areas that Sun Chaser can travel. The light green areas are the high sunlight target areas.
