I have learned about a new bottle cutter design that doesn't use a knife. Instead we sharpen standards steel ball bearings and use them to cut through the plastic bottles. The idea seems to work pretty well.

In order to sharpen the bottles, I had to take them to the industrial sector and ask someone to use their angle grinder. Ignore the lack of PPE!
