Fixietube clock!

A project log for Fixietube - Fake Nixie Tube displays

30ml jam jars turned into beautiful LED displays - nixietube like looking without the higher voltage fuzz

Today I gathered some code for the ds1307 module I bought for this "fixie-tube" clock project. I used a cheap arduino clone and some wood to hold the sockets together. Soldering a cable was annoying, but I succeeded in the end. The setup is still temporary, since I want a laser cut case for those beauties. Right now they are to far away from each other, you can't read the time with one glimpse.

Wow looks amazing :-)
I already like the outcome ;-)
Is there a special reason why you rotated the Sockets and Digits by 45°?

best regards, Stefan

P.S.: Nice to see, that I'm not the only one with a mess on my desk ;-) no insult

Hah thanks :) The 45 degrees are because the boards with the connector would be in the way otherwise. For the case I will use them with no rotation and a cutout for the connector. But I had to fix them on to something for soldering.

Yeah, that mess returns so fast :D
