We're students of the ESME engineer school and we're trying to achieve an effective solar powered fan for cars

We are a group of 3 students from the ESME international track.
We were asked to make a eco-friendly device, we choose a solar powered fan.
Hell yeah!

This project is within the ESME international track.

We are basically trying to product a device that will cool a car park in a sunny place.

Within this objectif we are developing a solar powered fan for cars that will be eco-friendly because using solar energy.

It will be attached to the car's window with the solar pannel stick on the window inside the car and the fan in the little space beetween the window and the roof.

We finished to improve our project and it's working ! It's nice to have a fan like that during these hot days ! ;)

We finished our project, and it's working ! Maybe we can improve our project in one week? We will put in our circuit an LCD display which will show the ambient temperature.

We finished the program and we also find an other solution in order to keep the kit in good condition. We will buy a fan and a battery in order to show that our project is working and, if we replace the battery by the solar panel, it will be the same result. But, because of the time we have left, we have to buy ourselves the fan and the battery.

We are continuing to write the program but we have a problem with the kit. If we want to integrate the kit in the arduino circuit, we have to cut the cable of the fan and we don't want to damaged the kit. We have to find an other solution.

We received the kit. We started to realize the program and build the circuit with the arduino card. It will take few weeks to finish both.

We didn't receive yet the kit with solar panel delivered with a fan and it's connection. However, we had a new idea : make a program in order to control the temperature. We give a reference temperature, for example 20 degrees, and the fan will operate until the reference temperature is reached. We will realize that thanks to an arduino card.

We're gonna talk about our project with our surpevisors. We also found a solar panel delivered with a fans and it's connection, which might actually be very interesting; whether for a car or a smaller project.

    Step 1

Currently , we are following those building instructions that we find on the internet "http://www.instructables.com/id/$6-Solar-Fan/" .But we will make things smoother because this one seemed to look a little bit to "hand made" and also improve the car security because with this kind of design your war would be pretty easy to rob.
