Here's a rendering of the new design. Might lose some of the diagnostic LEDs before sending it out. (Yes, I lost 2 LEDs before sending it to @oshpark ).

Not really sure the best way to layout the ESP-12S...is the antenna in an OK place?

To save more weight, you could cut the PCB out from under the antenna, up to the edge of the PCB.

Antenna looks okay, just don't put a ground plane below it!

Actually, you could shave a lot of weight be not putting ground pours over most of the board
