This is a Luminor Carbide Bicycle Lamp from probably the early 1920s. I’m retrofitting it so that it can run off of 12V DC power as used on an electric bicycle.

I took it apart to clean out the old carbide and prepare it for desoldering. I ran cables throughout the various parts and added a 3 position switch for On / Off and intensity level.

I mounted an LED to a heat sink and then connected it to the wiring.
