Letter A
11/26/2015 at 10:16 • 0 commentsI thought I'd try letter-cutting on a bit of scrap polycarbonate. In case it isn't clear, this is a full-depth cut.

Made a Shower-Screen Hook
11/25/2015 at 23:02 • 0 commentsI made this hook a while back too. (There is a theme developing here.) This one is for hanging wet gear on the shower-screen to drip dry.

The Z-Platform
11/25/2015 at 22:29 • 0 commentsI removed the Z-platform the other day so here are some pictures. I struggled to come up with something that would work for this. I'm not particularly proud of the result but it seems to work.

Pro Couplings
11/25/2015 at 22:14 • 0 commentsI was getting a bit of stretch on one of my home-made plastic tube couplings - the one for the Z-axis. I thought I should maybe upgrade to something better so I bought a few of these aluminium ones.

When they arrived and I opened the first packet I was disappointed. These things are much more flexible than they look. No stiffer than my plastic tubing couplings.
I dismantled the Z-platform and found a fair bit of dust and grease and swarf clogging the slides. A clean-up, a bit of fresh lubrication and some adjustments seemed to free the whole thing up. I decided to continue with the plastic tubing couplings for now.

Made Some Pot Hooks
11/12/2015 at 14:24 • 0 commentsI cut a few of these S-hooks from 5mm thick polycarbonate some time ago. They were specifically designed to fit a pot rack in the kitchen.
