As I am very fond of the pocketable form factor I would like to create a more versatile design that fit's right into the original case and runs of 2 AAA batteries. Instead of 5 Potis, I am planning to use 4 Rotary encoders and a rotary switch to offer a similar editing of parameters as found on the Waldorf Blofeld or Novation MiniNova. underneath the encoders should be a array of 8-16 LED to provide user feedback for something like a step sequencer or arpeggio. The empty upper left side could host a tiny display and to enhance the possibility of expression, I would like to add a pressure sensor underneath the ribbon. As this design would be more fragile to open, the back side should allow micro USB connection for reprogramming and possibly MIDI functionallity combined with a computer or smartphone. The Audio In jack should be userselectable for Gate/CV, MIDI, Sync or regular Audio input and tolerant to 5V CV signals.
