I've just released the PCB for the microcontroller version of the spectrometer. I stiil have to :- Improve firmware- Improve PC softwareAnyway i'm already be able to acquire some spectra.
Design is fun until you have to describe what you've built...apparently nobody is a mind reader so I actually have to convey these things in physical form! Anyway, here's some eye candy! Get it? HA!
I'm probably able to use different connectors anyway, but I now went for the cable type I most probably want to check - A male to A male. I had to switch the battery holder and noticed that I could also check for mirrored/crossed wirings by adding some...
With lowest cost ZYNQ device package some compromises are required:1 Bidirectional DSI not possible - this is very maybe not needed anyway2 Analog video output replaced by audio input in 3.5mm JackThis setup yields in I/O Pin utilization of 100% nothing...
Just ran across this and thought I'd post it. Going really, really small is where all the interesting stuff is happening. http://news.mit.edu/2016/carbon-nanotubes-water-solid-boiling-1128
I've been travelling and on vacation and I'm finally moved into the new apartment. Anyway- so I found that the US element14 doesn't have any CM3 dev kits in stock. So I ordered one from the UK and it should be here in a week or so!
So here's a question - how do I demo this? I think a video of me wearing goggles and flying a drone might be quite dull. Just wondering aloud ... while the rain outside prevents me testing it anyway ...
Tuns our its about 15 grams that the little crazy flie can lift! I rigged up a little tube and popped it on the top cranked up the engine and swapped over screwdrivers....so 15g to play with......getting it to fly will be tricky then certainly vertically...
It appears that the fablab we are working with did not order our servomotors. Anyway ! It seems like we'd ordered the wrong ones. With servomotors, we wouldn't be able to track the wheel's position. So instead we ordered stepper motors. Hopefully we...
And for the money I've bought some more boards, this time black pcbs from dirtypcbs.com though - sorry to every other vendor, but please add eagle brd file support :D Anyway, I wanted to have some black K.I.T.T.s with red LEDs as well.
Minor whoopsie - the compasses are on a fixed address - therefore both compasses will be connected to the I2c port expander and selected in turn. (for some reason I thought you could add vin to one pin to change I2c address) Anyway.................
Further development on this project is on temporary hold due to unrelated issues. Not too worried though, everything for 1sqin project is already here, doubt it'll do much good anyway though since it's not in a 'complete' state.
