Custom motor driver
Cody wrote 08/05/2015 at 18:33 • 1 pointI have a robot kit that is currently controlled by a Romeo BLE from DFRobot, which has built-in motor drivers. I am looking to switch from this board to a Raspberry Pi. I looked to get some 5 amp motor drivers to use and was surprised by the price. Is there a good way to build my own motor driver from something like a H-bridge for cheap?

I generally make my own, 4 high power mosfets to form an H bridge driven by transistor logic. For big motors add a capacitor to match the inductance of the motor. uses a three pin control wire with left/right select, PWM, and ground

Do you have a schematic/Fritzing model of how you make it? I would love to see your layout and what Mosfets you use.
