Any suggestions for an introductory book on RF?
Mahesh Venkitachalam wrote 11/15/2015 at 01:19 • 2 pointsHello,
Could you please suggest a basic book on RF (Radio Frequency) design? Something which covers basic RF circuits, theory (modulation, etc) and antenna design? I found a very basic non technical one, and one which looked too advanced. I guess I am looking for something in between.
Basic:
The Essential Guide to RF and Wireless (2nd Edition) , by Carl J. Weisma
Advanced:
RF Circuit Design, Second Edition 2nd Edition, by Christopher Bowick
Thanks!

Sorry about the triple post!

Peter Walsh's comment is good. They have a number of books, for example: "A Course In Radio Fundamentals". My copy is from the mid-sixties. I assume that they still print it. But ANY of their stuff is good.

Googled that title and came up with at least 3 (old) copies on pdf

The radio amateur's handbook is published yearly by the (American) ARRL, and has a lot of introductory theory, circuits, and commentary about building.
Any edition, even one a couple of years old, should have essentially the same information.

Thanks! Available at amazon - might pick up an older version as you said, since it's cheaper.
